Dr. Tomviezibe Cephas Dombo – Facilitator

Dr. Tomviezibe Cephas Dombo is an outstanding scholar and practitioner in the field of meteorology. He has demonstrated remarkable dedication, expertise, and leadership throughout his illustrious career.

Dr. Dombo’s academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Physics from Ebonyi State University in 2007. He then advanced his studies by earning a Master’s degree in Meteorology from the Federal University of Technology Akure in 2013.

His pursuit of knowledge and excellence culminated in 2024 with the completion of his PhD in Atmospheric Sciences at the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.

Professionally, Dr. Dombo has made significant contributions as a Principal Meteorological Officer at the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) in Zaria, where he has been responsible for aeronautic weather forecasting and pilot briefing since 2018. His expertise was also pivotal during his tenure as a Senior Meteorological Officer at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, and as a Public Weather Forecaster in Abuja. Dr. Dombo’s commitment to his profession is further exemplified by his active memberships in the American Meteorological Society and the Nigerian Meteorological Society. His dedication to advancing meteorological science and practice has made a profound impact on the field and on those who have had the privilege of working with him.
